The Taphos 2011 meeting was held in Tübingen Germany from June 14th to 17th, 2011.

Taphos 2011 continues the tradition of taphonomic meetings that have been regularly held in Spain since 1990. The aims of these meetings have been to integrate all aspects of current taphonomic research from both palaeontological and archaeological context. It was decided at the last meeting in Granada in 2008 to go international and hold the meeting at the Institute of Geosciences of the University of Tübingen, Germany.
